Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mila Krasteva finished at the ‘Lilyana Dimitrova’ English Language Secondary School No. 114 I in the city of Sofia (1978). She completed her university studies with a major in Bulgarian Studies with English Studies as a second major from St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo (1989) where she was a full time doctoral student in Theory and History of Literature (1990–1993). She defended her dissertation on the plot in the Bulgarian Revival novellas (1997). Associate Professor of Bulgarian Revival Literature (2005). She is a professor of Bulgarian Revival Literature at the Paissii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, in the Faculty of Languages and Literature, the Department of History of Literature and Comparative Literary Theory since 1997. Lecturer of Bulgarian language, literature and culture at the Beijing Foreign Studies University, People's Republic of China (2006–2007). Erasmus Programme lecturer at the universities in Torun, Poland (2009), Ankara, Turkey, (2010), Budapest, Hungary (2013), Brno, Czech Republic (2014), Prague, Czech Republic (2015), Komotini, Greece (2017), Poznan, Роland (2018). Member of the Union of Bulgarian Scholars.
