Rumyana Damyanova is the head of the Department of Bulgarian Revival Literature. Her research interests are in the field of literature and culture of the Bulgarian Revival (18th - 19th centuries). In her work she traces the dynamics of the inclusion of documentary texts such as letters, diaries, and travelogues in the literature of the Revival. She explores the constructions of the stereotype - norm, cliché, scribes, etc. Rumyana Damyanova is interested in the analysis of the emotions during the Revival as socially conditioned experiences.
